Our new Lead Counselor- Emily Ripley
Emily Ripley is very excited to join the Farrington Nature Linc team as the Lead Counselor for Summer 2015. She loves nature and working with youth, and is eager to combine both of these interests at Farrington. “I am deeply interested in exploring and learning about the natural world, and I love sharing that passion with others.” Ripley said, “I am excited about the program at Farrington because it encourages youth to connect with nature and develop independence and respect for the environment through outdoor activities as they explore this beautiful earth we call home.”
Emily brings experience hiking and leading backpacking excursions, planting and harvesting vegetable gardens, and raising fish, tadpoles, chickens, and ducks. She has worked with programs that facilitate hands-on exploration and care for the environment in Alaska, Vermont, and Boston, and is thrilled to continue this work at Farrington.
