"Project Wild Thing" Resources
Our screening of "Project Wild Thing" on March 20th was a great success! Many people came to enjoy the film and went away inspired to find new ways to connect with nature and the great outdoors.
Below is a list of helpful websites where you can find more information about the open spaces around you and what you can do to engage!
1. Project Wild Thing Wild Time App will help you find nature based things to do right around you:

2. The Nature Conservancy has a website dedicated to helping families get outside into nature. It's called Nature Rocks!
3. The Appalachian Mountain Club has a whole section for Massachusetts activities that they run. Check it out here!
4. Mass Audubon runs many children's camps and has local sanctuaries to visit. It's all on their "Get Outdoors" page.
5. Apply for a scholarship to take your child to a nature camp. It's the Craig Tuft's Educational Scholarship.
6. Join the National Wildlife Federations's Great American Backyard Campout on June 28th, 2014.
7. Check out Richard Louv's blog on the Children & Nature Network for some great ideas on how to include nature into every day.

9. In August, 2013, Psychology Today published an article called "Helping Kids Connect with Nature." Give it a read and see what you can try.
10. Donate to a organization that works to get kids (of all kinds!) outside into nature. Both Farrington Nature Linc and Cambridge Camping would appreciate your support!
