Kayaking the Mystic River
A few weeks ago, our middle school Environmental Leadership Program students went kayaking on the Mystic River, where we saw swallows, turtles, fish, and even a muskrat! The students learned how to paddle and avoid capsizing by staying calm and working together while in the kayak. The following week we hosted a Family Celebration Event at the school to wrap up the program and showcase all of the awesome things our middle school cohort did this school year. A huge congratulations to our students, most of which will be entering high school next year. Good luck!
