Dr. Perrin will give a brief overview of his current research, “Recognizing Connection to Nature: Perspectives from the Field.” Then we will break up to smaller groups to talk about our experience communicating to others, parents, educators, administration, etc. about the role of nature connection in youth development. We will end by brainstorming opportunities to connect and strengthen our individual practices together.
This workshop is designed for educators and caregivers who work or would like to work with children in nature. All are welcome to attend.
After the open space workshop, feel free to stay and watch the documentary, Project Wild Thing, with a public audience. For more information about the film click HERE
