Staff and Board

20170726_131539Wendy Matusovich, Executive Director
Wendy grew up in Connecticut surrounded by farms and forests. Much to her mother’s dismay she spent as much time as she could playing in the mud. She learned first hand the value of spending time in nature and now is grateful for the privilege to work on bringing urban children out to the land. Wendy worked at a national nonprofit for over 18 years before joining Farrington Nature Linc. She has a A.B. from Brown University and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University.

Sarah gets her love of nature from growing up around the woods and oceans of Massachusetts. She comes to Farrington from Strong Women, Strong Girls, a Boston-based youth development organization. She has taught art, yoga, and English with youth; has volunteered with farms in Chile and in Newton, Mass.; and leads hikes with Wilderness Heals, an initiative that supports the Elizabeth Stone House in Boston. She has a B.A. in Human Rights Studies with a minor in Hispanic Studies from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. At Farrington, she is excited to combine her experience with youth development and nonprofit management with her passion for the outdoors.

Kiz grew up in the concrete jungle of New York City with a big heart for all animals. In attending high school for Environmental Studies, this love grew to include the greater environment. She continued to pursue this as a career by majoring in Environmental Studies and minoring in Wildlife Biology at the University of Vermont. Kiz is currently studying to receive her master’s in Environmental Education at Antioch University. She is really excited to be able to combine all three of her passions: animals, environment, and urban life at Farrington.

Tina DuBois, Development Assistant & Office Manager
Tina is a rural Vermont native with a passion for hands-on learning in nature (gardening, woodworking, farm animal care). She attended college in upstate New York and later pursued a master’s degree in macro-level social work at Boston University. Tina would like to combine her training in nonprofit management with her love for the natural world by bolstering nature-based alternative education opportunities for teenagers and young adults.
